Des Moines' own Central Park?!

Is Gray's Lake to Des Moines what Central Park is to New York City? Well maybe that's a stretch, but Gray's Lake is an amazing nature escape right in the middle of downtown! Take a walk or run on the nearly 2 mile trail, go boating on a kayak, sailboat or canoe for a small rental fee, play on the beach, go fishing and more! And with all the trees, you barely realize that downtown is just around the corner! At night the bridge is lit with colors to create a beautiful backdrop for your walk. Gray's Lake is definitely a gem in the metro.
