This summer is a HOT one! So if you're in need of a cool down, you're in luck, there are several great pools in the area! Altoona Aquatic Center offers fun for kids like playful animal fountains, a small slide and water sprinklers. Fun for older ones too with water slides, lap swim area and umbrellas to relax under. Ankeny now boasts two aquatic centers: Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center and Cascade Falls Aquatic Center. Prairie Ridge is the older of the two including a splash pad free of charge before pool hours. Cascade Falls is a few years old now with some unique features like a Surf machine and lazy river, not often found at a typical pool. All three pools are worth a visit! Coll down, relax and have some fun this summer!
